Four Quinnipiac students were given the opportunity earlier this semester to design and execute an obstacle course for the Special Olympics Fall Festival in Hartford. As the students prepared for a day full of excitement and teamwork, they had no idea how much their interactions with the athletes could teach them.

Quinnipiac trustee donates antique medical equipment collection to School of Medicine

Richard Silver, a Quinnipiac trustee and senior partner at Silver Golub & Teitell, has donated a unique collection of antique medical equipment to the university. The collection is now on permanent display in the Edward and Barbara Netter Library at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine on the North Haven Campus.

As champions of community service, our students volunteer throughout Connecticut, from assisting with Ronald McDonald House projects and raising money for charities to motivating school children in the region with Read Aloud days to beautifying neighborhoods. Our health professions students provide free clinics, our law students perform legal services and our accounting students help with tax preparation for residents in need. The university enriches the community with cultural opportunities, athletics and entertainment options that attract thousands annually.
